Milk crates as a material for art continue to inspire. For a milk crates coffee table you’ll need two pieces of wood, two metal milk crates, four castors, a small can of stain in the color of your choice, a small can of polyurethane in the finish of your choice, a pack of 10 NM/SE cable two hole straps, a box of at least 25 flat head screws, 3/4″ or shorter, rubber gloves, steel wool and sandpaper, lots of rags and Philips head screwdriver, a level, a foam roller or foam paintbrush. Stain the wood and let dry; put your casters on and screw them. Now arrange your metal crates, as you do this, take metal cable straps and screw the screws. Measure to make sure the crates are centered on the board.  To make sure that the two boards were lined use a level. Voila, you are done!
