Before & After – Sweet And Cute Desk
Here is an awesome desk renovation done by Knack. If fell in love with it from the first sight. Careful painting in monochrome colors and applying flower patterns on its drawers make the desk looks really fabulous. It can now be used as a side table and become an awesome item of decor.

Why?
Why do you craft store idiots insist on painting wooden furniture and sticking those god-awful appliques to them? Christ Jesus, man. Put down the hot glue gun and step away slowly.

Why do you negative people feel it neccesary to find something you don’t like just to put someone else down? Guess what…Her desk, her design, her money. She can bedazzle it with hot pink rhinestones if that’s what is going to make her happy. It’s not in your house you don’t have to look at it…calm down and go find something new to hate…like war, crime, or poverty.

I absolutely LOVE the flower pattern. Oh what a coat of paint can do!

Strange that someone could be offended enough to comment about such an innocent looking desk!
Lets be honest the original look is dated to the point that no one wants a desk like that anymore. However, one great paint job = desk saved.
Where is the harm in that?

I love that someone has vision enough to see the potential in something that is clearly past it’s sell by date and gives it a new life. I love the colours. It fits the style of the desk. Elegant and classy.

Hmmm…”craft store idiots?”…quite an assumption. By the way, appliques aren’t applied with glue guns dumbass.

I just stumbled upon this and sorry ladies, I have to agree with Dave’s point of view.
This is a pathetically easy way to restore furniture and whenever I see it done (which is way to much) a little piece of me starts to cry. It takes no skill or vision to take a piece of ‘furniture’ made or at least designed by someone who makes it there life’s work, then slather it with paint and corny ‘appliques’
(Appliques: Noun; A pompous synonym for stickers).
I work with furniture design and restoration professionally and I can assure you, if you had this piece restored PROPERLY as a direct comparison, you’d see what a joke this is. This make-over’s appeal relies on the original pieces classic charm while adding nothing to it.
PLEASE STOP DOING THIS! EVERY TIME YOU DO A CARPENTRY FAIRY DIES!!
(quiet sobs)
