Easy DIY Chalkboard Mug And Plate
If you have a boring plain mug and want to decorate it somehow, the best idea is to make it a chalkboard piece. You’ll need a mug, a plate or a saucepan, ceramic chalkboard paint, masking tape and a brush. Mark out the shape you want to paint with masking tape. Apply a couple of coats making sure the paint isn’t too thick. Then peel off the tape. Neaten the paint up with your brush. Once you’re happy with the look, leave it to dry for 24 hours. The next day you bake in the oven at 150 °C for 30 minutes and leave to cool completely. Once cool cover the paint with chalk, brush off and doodle away. Leave some funny messages for your closest people!
