DIY Vintage Canvas Of Your Favorite Photos

How can you make a real canvas of a usual photo? It’s rather easy. You’ll need stretched canvas, gel medium, a paint brush and the image you want to transfer – its laser copy – and a spray bottle filled with water. Cover your canvas with gel, press the photo onto the canvas and let it dry for a night or so. Spray to wet the top of your paper and rub until the pieces of paper completely come off. Don’t rub too hard because otherwise your canvas would be spoilt. Cover your canvas with a coat of gel once more to protect the image. Even if you have imperfections – that looks cool.

I would love to do this.Just one question though. Would you find this “gel medium” in a Michael’s store?

Hi! Great DYI, I’m thinking about doing a series for my room. Have you tried this with colour laser photos? I’m wondering if the colour toner would react the same as the black toner.
