DIY Large Sunburst Mirror To Occupy The Whole Wall

Diy Large Sunbirst Mirror

This isn’t the first time when wood shims are used to make a sunburst mirror. Although this is probably the largest DIY sunburst mirror I’ve seen so far. 4 bundles of cedar shims, 3 floral craft rings and an 8″ inch mirror were used for this project. The idea is quite standard but with interesting upgrades. Instead of gluing to one you need to glue wood shims to three floral rings of different size. Besides instead of one, two layers of shims are glued. In the result you can get a large sunburst mirror that will occupy a large part of your bedroom’s wall if you decide repeat the project. p.s. There is also the similar mirror done by Kevin and Layla Palmer from The Lettered Cottage in case you need more inspiration.
