DIY Faux Log Stack

Diy Faux Log Stand

For Christmas decorating your mantel is a very important thing, and don’t forget the fireplace itself! If your fireplace isn’t working, or you are not planning to use it – let’s make a faux log stack. You’ll need plywood cut to the dimensions of your fireplace, log slices 2-3 inches long, tightbond wood glue, black spray paint, shelf brackets and screws. Spray paint the plywood black. Arrange log slices so that they fit on the board in a way that looks as if they are stacked. Pick up and glue individual logs in the placement you had them. Allow glue to dry overnight. Screw in brackets to the back of the board. After placing log board into the fireplace, add two screws to the front to keep the board from falling forward.
