42 Cool Loft Bedrooms For Small Homes
Small homes often make us think how to squeeze most of the space we have, and loft spaces are a great solution. A loft bedroom or sleeping space often allows us to have a separate and very private space raised above public ones or to get an additional room in a small home.
Loft bedrooms offer both stylish and functional solutions for the flats where every square foot counts. Their special charm is enough to change the mood of your place immediately. Unlike bunk beds which in a home are usually associated with kids, loft beds can be quite sophisticated and they can also be used by adults. In fact, they’re a common design option for small homes because they free up valuable floor space which can be used in other ways.

Your loft space can be achieved via a staircase of any look, it can be a very airy piece not to be seen much in the interior or a massive storage staircase to save even more space. What we’d strongly recommend is a skylight or a window in the loft space to fill it with light and make more welcoming. The same goes to the lower part of the space – without a window it will look not very cozy. Double height windows are a perfect idea for homes with loft levels, and you may highlight them with clusters of pendant lamps. If you have enough space upstairs, you can include a makeshift or walk-in closet and a shower space there. If you don’t want a loft bedroom, you can always make a loft home office, a personal craft or art space or a kids’ play space, for example – a loft space can always be transformed into anything you want.
