Christmas decor is super important to create a real holiday ambience in the house and the main piece here is a Christmas tree of course. Besides choosing lights, ornaments, toppers and all other stuff you will have to hide the base of your tree, whether it’s a natural or a faux one. Here are some ideas to do that in a stylish, non-typical and sometimes even crazy way!
Covers
While everyone is sewing tree skirt, you can skip this step and cover the base of your tree with some burlap securing it with a ribbon or go for some faux fur or leather for a textural and luxurious look. Another idea is my favorite – grab an old sweater and cover the base! If you have a super chunky knit blanket, this is perfect to add coziness and create a modern look at the same time. Want some color? Rock a colorful pompom rug to cover the base or go for a tree skirt in the colors of your ornaments, and so the tree will look cohesive and very stylish. No time for any of these ideas? Drop some pillows covering the base of your tree and it will look amazing!

If you have a rustic tree, think of covering the base with a bucket or some old crates, one more option here is some kraft paper. Porcelain and glass planters or even a tire are also cool and fun ideas for a Christmas tree base. Place your tree into a vintage candleholder or into a wooden box of your choice, cover it with gift boxes or put a dog bed to hide the base. So many ideas to get inspired!
