Do you like canopy beds? If so but you already have a standard bed and don’t wanna spend money on a new one then I have an interesting idea for you. Make a canopy headboard for your bed. You can make a padded headboard or if you already have the headboard that you like make only the cornice part. To make the cornice use MDF and paint it with the pattern you like. Attach curtains above the center of the headboard and cover their tops with the cornice. Arrange the panels to frame the headboard and pull back with window treatment hooks.
