How To Make A Colorful Placemat Purse

If you have a vibrant placemat, you can easily turn it into… a purse! Yes, really! You’ll need a placemat, a zipper, thread and needle. Fold the placemat and pin one end onto the top of the zipper. Sew the edges onto the zipper and turn the bag inside out. Sew the sides of the bag and make sure the zipper piece you pull is located inside the area you sew. Trim the edges on the sides of the bag for a clean seam inside. Turn the bag back and lightly iron the zipper along the inside of the bag and then along the outer surface for a crisp look. Voila, your placemat clutch is ready!
