Choose some trim with the pattern you like and cut and fit trim pieces together at a 45 degree angle. So you can also just use a hand saw and a miter box if you don’t have a power saw. Use masking tape to hold each piece in place so make sure they all fit and you could center the design. Once you are happy with it, remove the tape on one piece at a time, use wood glue on the back of each strip, and nail the trim in place with very small nails.
