DIY Vintage Shelf Made Of Old Chair

Better Home And Gardens magazine is a great source of decorating ideas. Here is a DIY vintage bath shelf they come up with. It’s made of an old chair and can match virtually any bathroom decor. The same shelf will also be very useful on a kitchen or in a laundry room.

Here is what you’ll need: ladder-back chair, saw, paint, brushes, screws, screw driver, faucet handles and bumper pads.

First of all you need to cut off the legs and most of the seat. Then attach a piece of trim to what will be the top of the back of the seat using screws. Attach faucet handels to the top of the shelf.
Paint everything up.

Then, using screws, attach a piece of trim to what will be the top of the back of the seat. This gives you more surface area for attaching the chair to the wall. Add bumper pads to the back of the chair to keep it from scratching the wall. Paint everything up. Now you can attach the shelf to the wall.
